Penny Spooner Ceramics

Have you ever wanted to learn how to throw a pot or hand build a vase? Well now is your chance. I will be holding a number of beginners' pottery workshops this year at my studio in Whitchurch, from 10am - 4pm.  Places on the workshop will be restricted to 4 to ensure maximum teaching time - you will be shown hand building techniques and how to use a wheel. All you need to bring is an apron & a packed lunch, refreshments will be provided. Workshop dates for 2012 will be set in February.

The studio is situated at the end of a listed footpath called Great Lane, between Fairclose and the Doctor's Surgery in Whitchurch. It is an interesting building that used to be two small brick and flint thatched cottages - probably for workers from the jam factory that was sited at the other end of Great Lane. However, due to a fire at some point, a previous owner removed the top floor and created a garage, which I have been lucky enough to transform into a lovely work space.
