Penny Spooner Ceramics

This year we opened our doors once again for Open Studio 2009 over two weekends in August. We decided to keep the studio as a working space for people to get a better view of a pottery studio in action and were joined by two other artists who displayed their work in the glass room. They were Noel Privett who makes wonderful silver spoons and jewellery, as well as quirky collage pictures; and Alice Bloor who produces lovely individual textiles finished to the highest standard.

We were lucky enough to have Alice provide felting demonstrations in the studio each afternoon, which were thoroughly enjoyed by our visitors. It was lovely once again to meet so many new people - a number of them artists themselves, many just there to see the workspace and to buy individual presents that can't be found on the high street.
